Eidogen-Sertanty Releases SOAP-Based Web Services

San Diego, CA (May 5, 2008) – Eidogen-Sertanty, Inc., a San Diego-based computational drug discovery solutions provider, today announced the release of SOAP-based Web Services facilitating direct access into the Target Informatics Platform (TIP)

The TIP knowledgebase is a continuously updated database of protein structures, models, and receptor-sites. Leveraging over 50K publicly available apo- and co-complex protein structure templates growing at an accelerating rate of over 600 per month, TIP's automated model building and calculation cascade technology continuously proliferates and updates the TIP knowledgebase for several species across the entire proteome.

With TIP/Web Services, more systems can access TIP content and integrate with TIP technology. Included in this release are Web Services which support keyword- and sequence-based searching, ligand-based substructure and similarity searching, and receptor-site similarity searching. Future releases will include protein sequence-to-structure modeling, proprietary structure and co-complex processing, and user-defined receptor-site searching. Provided in this release are illustrative workflow protocol examples within Accelrys/Scitegic's Pipeline Pilot® technology.
